Please note that while our Toyota Land Cruisers are carefully and regularly maintained, they are not brand-new vehicles. In fact, new Toyota Land Cruisers are not available for hire in Tanzania. The classic Land Cruisers commonly seen on Tanzanian roads are often 20 years or older and this is very much intentional.

These vehicles are selected for their exceptional reliability, off-road performance, and mechanical simplicity. Built with minimal electronics, they are ideal for self-drive safaris, overland travel, and slow, controlled driving in the African bush, where durability and dependability matter more than modern technology.

Please be aware that driving comfort on paved roads, as well as features such as air conditioning efficiency and sound system quality, cannot be compared to modern passenger vehicles.
